2010 survey into Massage Practitioner health

This, Gerry’s third survey in the last ten years investigating possible musculo-skeletal damage to Massage Practitioners, was the biggest survey anywhere in the world into the health of Massage therapists – with close to 2000 responses! A big thank you to everyone who participated in the 2010 survey.

Worryingly the results once again indicate more than two thirds of active Massage Practitioners are experiencing musculo-skeletal damage, the most common site of injury being the hand – closely followed by the back. Click here to download the full report from our webshop for free.

Our profession seems to be injuring itself while doing phenomenal work for the public by offering safe, powerful touch. At NO HANDS we believe there’s a better way - whereby the health of the Massage therapist is actually enhanced during the Massage, rather than creating repetitive strain injuries.
