Bliss Music: Bliss Album

Bliss - Bliss

Gerry writes...

This album is a great example of the connection between music and our own personal changing tastes as we journey through life. I am totally embarrassed to admit that when I first heard this album (over 10 years ago) I loathed it.

I daily ask Lucinda's forgiveness in my prayers, now! Because it is now one of my TOP 3 FAVOURITES.
With just one caveat: I still struggle with track one, but that is only because I find Lucinda's open hearted honesty too much, sometimes. So I often bottle out of the first track and skip to track 2 for the beginning of my treatment.

I tend to work mainly in the life transforming realms, these days - I am blessed with those kind of 'seeker' clients, luckily. What absolutely 'blows my barnacles' is the way in which this album touches the heart of the child within each and every one of us and is so uncompromisingly spiritual.

So don't be put off by the hippy flowers on the cover - this is Lucinda at her most demanding and raw. I defy any client to spend an hour wrapped up in this music without coming out of the treatment totally cleansed and healed of all pain. Listen to 'Child' and if you like that track you will like the whole album.

Bliss - 100,000 Angels

Bliss - A Hundred Thousand Angels

Gerry writes:

This CD had a powerful impact from the first moment I introduced it onto my courses. Over the years it just grew on me - and the same happened to all the therapists who started using it in their treatments. It is probably the most popular piece of them all - one you will come back to again and again.

I find it particularly effective when I want to give my client a still, spiritually nurturing experience. It contains the stillness of the mountain top. But there is also extreme power and passion in this music.

There is nothing flaky or monotonous about Bliss’s music - it is powerful, dynamic and spiritually uplifting. The words of Lucinda's songs could not be more appropriate for a Massage and stem from her own profound life commitment to the spiritual path.

I can strongly recommend this CD - barely a clinic day goes by when I do not play it more than once. My Massage goes deeper with this music. Instead of applying pressure to go deep I find myself softening and becoming still. And this change takes the touch deeper than it could ever go with mere pressure. With this music I have a fantasy that I touch the client’s soul with my soul - because both I and the client become more open to divine possibilities.

The smiles on the faces of my clients at the end of a Massage dominated by this music tell me all I need to know about its benefits.

Bliss - Flying Free

Bliss - Flying Free

Gerry writes:

This is a great CD for Massage that is going down a real treat with practitioners and clients alike!

The words and energy of these songs are truly transformational and add a really powerful component to your Massage treatment. This music is much more 'in your face' than the others but all the words work in the most surprising way. The title track 'Flying Free' is superbly orientated towards the concept of 'letting go' - what other words could you possibly want for the Massage?

I use this music when I want to add a bit more FIRE to my AIR treatment. There is some real movement in this and I can do some good structural work. This structural work is then interspersed with some very still and very lyrical pieces - time for both the client and myself to integrate -Time for the spirit to fly free.

The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, but with lots of pauses. The ambience created is often one of euphoria, joy and happiness. Lucinda’s open hearted singing and very uncluttered music is as ever powerful beyond measure. A 'must' for your Bliss collection.

Bliss writes...

A fresh sounding collection of songs and instrumentals.

'I am' is particularly powerful, reminding us of the eternal nature of the soul.

'Flying Free' is joyful and shows the strong songwriting talents of Bliss as well as their meditative practice. Spun Glass is an amazing instrumental which powerfully conveys stillness and concentration.

Bliss - Through These Eyes

Bliss - Through These Eyes

Gerry writes:

This is the perfect partner to "A Hundred Thousand Angels". It contains quite different music - but still manages to give your client a spiritually nurturing experience. For this reason I strongly recommend purchasing both of these Bliss CD's together.

This CD has more variety - yet still retains spiritual depth and power. There are some moments of profound stillness - the hallmark of Bliss, yet there are also suitably energetic moments which mean I'm not in any danger of getting too static!!!

I use this music whenever I want the spiritual "Bliss effect" for my clients, but when I also need more movement. So there is lots of AIR as in "A Hundred Thousand Angels", but also some FIRE and WATER added into the mix.

Sometimes I just use it as a change from 'A Hundred Thousand Angels', but it really does stand on its own. 'Through These Eyes' has its own power. Gentle and deep. There are some hauntingly beautiful songs on this one.

Bliss writes:
Some of the tunes were taken from old traditional Irish folk songs, which were then given new words and arrangements. The rest of the album is original, but the Celtic theme obviously penetrated our consciousness so much that even these original tunes have that same heartfelt mood. The aim of the album was really to touch people on a heart level and judging by the response, both when we perform live and in letters from those who have bought it, this aim has been achieved.

Many tell us that for a while they couldn't stop crying (men too), whilst others say they use the album every day after work, to wind down, or meditate. Once again, people in crisis or with serious illnesses have written and told us how much this music has helped them through difficult times. It's this kind of reaction that makes all those years of struggle as artists so worthwhile. This music is, (we feel) a gift that has been given to us. We merely pass it on and feel honoured to be a part of that process. So thanks to all of you out there who have supported us, we send you our best wishes and warmest regards........... BLISS.

Bliss - You

Bliss - You

Gerry writes:

This is Bliss’s latest recording and is much more dramatic than anything else they have written. They have stepped out of the comfort zone and produced something very different with full orchestra (almost unheard of in the ‘New Age’ field of cheap and synthetic sounding Massage music) and highly professional arrangements.

Does it work for Massage? Initially I thought that some of these tracks do and some do not, but the truth was simply that I had not understood just how powerfully they do ALL work.

Almost all these tracks can achieve the most powerful atmosphere of change that I have ever heard from Bliss. My advice is to purchase this one and KEEP USING IT until you fully understand and feel its power. Just go with your guts - or your HARA!

I use this music when I am confronted with a courageous client who is ready for anything and will let go of whatever they need to in order to become who they were born to be. I think that says it all really.

Bliss writes:

An incredible sonic journey into the void and out again from the writers of 'A Hundred Thousand Angels'

You is a beautiful storm of an album enhanced by a 40 piece string section and some of the UK's best musicians. The songs range from bare plaintive ballads (Pale Green Angel, Lone space) to dramatic orchestral soundscapes (This Beautiful Girl, YOU). There are also joyous rhythmic numbers that borrow from the beats of Africa and the jigs of Ireland (Break the Chain and Ukipenda). If you enjoy country music, jazz and pop you will find elements of them all here. In this ambitious new release Bliss have pulled out all the stops to deliver a truly classic album.
